As water temperatures rise and dissolved oxygen levels shift, accurate real-time monitoring becomes a serious operational priority. The Badger/SCAN oxi::lyser gives water and wastewater professionals a reliable way to stay ahead of those changes without consumables, membrane replacements, or guesswork.
The sensor uses a blue LED to excite lumiphore molecules in the sensor cap; when oxygen is present, it quenches that luminescence, and the sensor calculates concentration from the reduction in light emission. Temperature is measured simultaneously and factored into the final value automatically.
Many facilities still run electrochemical DO sensors that demand regular membrane swaps, frequent recalibration, and steady attention from staff. The oxi::lyser takes a different approach. It ships factory-precalibrated, mounts directly in the water or in a flow cell, and is rated for up to ten years of service life. No reagents. No consumables. Minimal upkeep.
What Sets It Apart:
Optical fluorescence measurement with accuracy of ±0.05 mg/l or ±1% of reading (whichever is greater)
Measuring range of 0–25 mg/l (0–100% saturation) with temperature measurement from 0–50°C
IP68-rated housing suitable for submersed or flow-cell installation
Integrated compressed air cleaning for demanding wastewater environments
Plug-and-measure connection to s::can terminals and software for immediate data access
Suitable for surface water, groundwater, drinking water, and wastewater applications
